Horizon Networks - Update 2.9 Added Horizon Custom Phone We are pleased to announce that we have rolled out our new custom built phone. The phone has been tightly integrated with many of the existing Horizon activities, some of which is explained below in the list of initial apps and their features. With this release we are going to continue to include more features into the phone and work on integrating other existing activities into the phone. With that being said below are the list of apps and their features available on release. Apps Dialer The dialer application is responsible for everything phone calls. Keypad for creating new contacts or making a call directly to a number Recent calls, see inbound and outbound calls from others easily within the app including group calls. Contacts appear in the form of contact cards. From within contact cards you can edit, block, delete, share or even open directly into the messages app to start texting them. You can now include pictures for your contacts if you wish. All contacts have been migrated over. Recent calls have not been migrated over. Messages We took a new look into messages and how we want to see you all communicate. With messages you can continue to have 1:1 conversations with people but this update now includes group chats and group calls. The individual who starts a group chat will be considered the group owner and can add/remove users along with change the name of the group chat all of which update in real time. Any member of the group chat can begin a group call from within the group chat. We will look to expand functionality of this in the future to allow those who didn't pick up in time to join an ongoing group call. UI has been changed to clearly indicate non text based messages, for example GPS pings appear in bubbles and images require you to click to confirm if you wish to view the image. New conversations can be started from within the app simply by searching for the contact or contacts if you wish to create a group chat. If a conversation already exists with those contacts you will be directed to the existing conversation. Settings View your characters phone number Change your phones wallpaper. Ensure you use links that start with "https" and end with "png", "jpg", "jpeg", "gif", "webp", "mp4", "webm", "svg". Change your ringtone to any of the supplied tones. We will be taking reasonable suggestions for new ringtones to include in the phone. Note that others around you will hear the ringtone you have selected when they stand next to you. We know that there may be times where you don't want your phone to ring so you can silence your phone. You will still receive the notification popups but you won't be interrupting others around you. View your blocked contacts and remove them if you desire. Weazel News It has a new home, a place to view all new and existing articles. Weazel News employees can now create articles from within the application with the ability to preview the article before they publish. Articles now have view counts, as you navigate to an article you count as a view. Views are updated in real time so we look forward to seeing the interactions when new articles are published. Articles also have likes, as a character you can like an article and it too is updated in real time. Yapper Yapper is the new home of Twitter. Yapper is starting brand new so be quick and reserve your @handle before someone else does. Accounts now have profiles that anyone can view. Profiles include your handle, display name and bio. From a profile you can view the list of yaps from that account along with the yaps that account has liked. Notifications have three options. All, mentions or none. In the timeline you can view yaps in chronological order, see mentions of handles and if that handle exists click to go to their profile. Replying to a yap will render the replied yap in the body so everyone has context of what you are talking about. Creating new yaps can include text, text and image or just an image. You will also see a preview of your yap below before you send it. Vehicles You can now see a list of vehicles you own and where they are located within the various garages around the city. Ping the garage to mark it on the map View if the vehicle is parked or if the vehicle is out. Note if the vehicle is out the app will display the last garage the vehicle was located at. Banking View your accounts both primary and secondary View a list of outstanding bills you need to pay and in turn pay them View a list of recent transactions Send money to others from bank account to bank account. Use the cards to decide which account the money is being sent from. Notes Take notes of anything and everything taking advantage of the new editor for styling Notes save to the cloud in real time Pin your important notes Search for notes Whats next for the phone? Well as mentioned earlier we will continue to integrate more activities into the phone. We are going to be working on a new "Crew" application that will allow you to setup crews from wherever you are, allowing you to use your crew in activities to benefit from their group rewards. We will also be releasing an application to view your casino chips, N.2.O coin along with the ability to transfer chips and N.2.O coin to others. Uber will be moved to the phone as well allowing you to start being a driver or a rider. We have a lot of awesome ideas we want to include in the phone and as always we will keep an eye on the wishlist channel in discord for your ideas as well. Horizon Territories - (YouTube Gameplay & Features) Introducing Horizon Territories: a completely custom and unique territory / turf based system powered by your crews influence. This new addition allows any group to register to start claiming territory throughout the city through multiple different avenues of illegal activities. Use your groups influence to control your territory through upgrades, and collect income from the territories you have influence in. Visualise your influence through an interactive map found in the Horizon Operating System via a new USB. Complete missions and build influence to unlock new drug exports, weapons and more. War over valuable territories containing illegal laboratories where you and your group can master drug recipes and push them to increase influence in your own territory. All this, and more! What's next for territories? Territories was released a few weeks ago and since then we have seen everyone expand their claw on the city competing for turf. Seeing new groups set themselves up and compete against others has been refreshing to see to say the least. We have been fortunate enough to gather a lot of feedback from you all on new incentives to include for turf owners. New Conflict System: A new system for contesting priority territories will be introduced, utilizing numerous spots throughout the entire map, this conflict will give both sides a unique fight during each conflict taking place all across San Andreas. Territory Trophies: The drug game continues it's significance for territories, however, robberies will soon award Trophies that you can use within your territories to increase influence. Each robbery has it's own trophy and it's own influence value. Below is some insight into the applications we are working on and some of the features we have been developing. During the development of the phone we have been discussing with a few members of the community along with the Horizon Staff & Development team on features and user experience within the phone. In saying this I will try to stream more of the phone development to gather feedback an ideas from anyone that want's to tune in. Phone We want creating contacts to be super easy. Simply type the number in as someone is reading it out to you. If you already have the number in your contacts then it will be displayed in the filter, or simply press "Create New Contact" to create a new contact with the number you just entered. (example gif) Want to share a contact with friends around you. Just go to the contact and press the share icon. (example gif) We are including profile pictures for contacts Contact searching by name and or number View recent calls both inbound and outbound Number blocking so you can avoid people calling or texting you Messages Sharing your location with someone is as simple as just one button (example gif) Display message bubble formats for images, GPS Pings to clearly identify those types of messages Settings View your phone number Change wallpaper Change ringtones Adjust ringtone volume Format Phone Notifications Notifications can appear in different formats. Some may require you to interact with them while others may only be on display for a certain period of time. Notifications can also update in real time such as when you are needing to follow guided steps, the notification title and body will update without needing to reissue a new notification. Open In Controls Similar to how your phones works today we want to include open in controls to every aspect of each application. This will allow you to move from one app to another or from a notification to an app with a single click. Some examples of this functionality are included below From with messages you can go directly to a contact if it exists in your phone. In the background the phone will navigate you to the phone application and then to the contact so that you can go from messaging someone to calling, editing or sharing that contact with one click. (example gif) From within the phone app quickly message someone back from within your contacts or recent calls (example gif) Contact sharing mentioned above is an example of open in from within a notification, where accepting the shared contact will open the phone application and take you straight to the new contact creation screen to confirm the details shared before saving. Horizon Networks - Update 2.8 Added Boosting! (screenshot) As per popular demand, boosting is now live within the Horizon OS. Explore the cities vehicles, gain reputation, level up and collect your N.2.0 (NOS) coin. Boosting is closely tied in with racing and the racing app with a cross over of benefits for both. Use your N.2.O coin to purchase contracts or VIN scratch your vehicle. Come across a good contract but you don't have time to boost, put it up for bid and let others compete for the contract allowing you to pocket some more N.2.O coin. View your history of contracts completed and compare against your friends but remember, don't get caught with one of those stolen vehicles. Have fun good luck! Ranked Racing! (screenshot) Racing app now has official ranked races. These are clearly marked within the "Open Races" section of the Horizon OS racing application. Ranked races will give you a chance to compete against others for points with placements rewarding you with N.2.O (NOS) coin. Horizon Networks - Update 2.7.2 Added IMPORTANT New Crafting Scrap System Important changes to how scrap and crafting works. The goal behind this is to aid in getting you the materials you need and in turn keeping the economy moving. Without going into too much detail you will notice new items when performing activities such as chopshop and scrap yard. With this you will need to explore the map and find machines that will help you turn this into something useful. Hi All, It’s been a moment so hi . This is the Horizon 2.7 changelog that contains a long list of projects we have been wanting to have in the server since we launched. We have also taken the time to go back through many notes we had taken, ticket transcripts we saved and more to ensure we included your feedback in many of the existing items within the server. For those characters that have been misbehaving, you will find them sulking on the floor New character animations for flying into the city Kick starting your character All new characters receive a starter package You can now rent a vehicle with paperwork of ownership for the uptime of the server A new guide to help you navigate the city Weapon Blueprints Blueprints for weapons can be found throughout the city by partaking in various activities These blueprints are especially important to registered organizations Upgrading your Registered Organisation (RO) location Registered organisations have an entirely new home with the ability to upgrade your locations. This should be your most sacred place, so getting caught by the police will result in needing to find a new location and a new start Manage your blueprints and weapons Create drugs in an entirely new drug lab (make sure you find yourself some friends) Multiple storage crates to group your items in an orderly fashion UpnAtom Job UpnAtom is now a self service business. Anyone new to the city can self employe and work for a salary. The more time spent on duty will allow you to get promoted for a higher salary. Legal Jobs We have included a job centre by Alta Train Station to help direct you to where you can get started with the jobs within the city! Just right click the animation in the UI and select your bind Continue to set your own keys for your binds in settings Set animation’s and favourites within the UI to appear at the top for easy access. To do this simply right on an animation and select Search for animations Set walkstyles Walkstyles remain constant even if you get into other activities Set expressions Use shared emotes The first 3 shared shared emotes you set as your favorite will be set in target for easy access Bank Accounts New user interface Backdated all account transactions. You can now see where you have been spending all your money Charts displaying money spent in groups (police fines, vehicle purchases, etc) Second bank account, for saving Weapon Use Weapons use has received a change to its functionality. You require weapon magazines (pistol/smg/rifle) and ammunition. Magazines are loaded using the animation and then the use of "R" or whatever you have it bound to will then load the weapon with that magazine.
